Meet My Friends

How We Met

The class that we were both enrolled in, did not exist. We were searching for a ghost class. We wondered around for a good half hour before we went to the main office for help. We were both sad that we could not take the class but we were enrolled in a different class that we were both very happy with.

When first coming to London, Catherine was the only person I knew because we came from the same University. I was very happy to hear that we were also living on the same campus. It would be very lonely here in Harrow without her.

I am so glad that I met Paige at the boat party. After getting to know each other a bit, I learned that she also goes to school in Chicago. She attends Columbia College, which is not far from my university.

What They Wear

Catherine and I share a love and appreciation for fashion. This also includes accessories. I prefer the more simple and classic pieces (if any) and she prefers the bold and statement pieces. London is home to one of the best clothing stores in the world, TopShop. And, since we do not have many of them in the states, we went to TopShop every chance we got. The first few times we went were to just take it in all in, and gawk at how large and amazing this store was. Every time we went  we would find at least 5 new things that we wanted but something always stuck with Catherine. It was this hat. Every time we would go to TopShop she would try on the hat. So, because we talked about it so much we eventually started calling it "The Hat."

What She Eats

Leave it to Floorje to always come prepared with a snack. Where ever we are, at some point throughout the day she will pull out an apple and eat it. It is never anything other than an apple.

What We Do on the Weekends

Catherine and I have gotten into the habit of baking cookies. We started doing it because Catherine use to bake cookies with her roommates in Chicago. After we were successful with our first batch (her flat mates can vouch for us) we continues to bake them. And because you can't bake in silence we would turn on Beyonce in the background and belt out her latest hits. After baking, we usually relax on Catherine's bed, 5 cookies in hand (per person), and proceeded to re-watch the Harry Potter series. It has become a nice tradition of ours, and one i'd love to keep when we are back in America.

Paige is one of those friends who can make you laugh like no one else, including herself. When ever I know I am going to spend time with Paige, I know I am going to have a great time.

There are a few things I know to be true about Paige:
1. She never refers to me as Katie, only Piglet (because i'm the shortest out of our group of friends).
2. Donuts are her favorite food.
3.She loves Sherlock Homes and scones with clotted creme and jam.
4. She is obsessed with Beyonce.

Beyonce

These two are the ultimate Beyonce fans. They can't get enough of her. Whenever they are together Beyonce automatically become 60% of the conversation. They know all of her songs by heart as well as some of her dance moves. Paige has taken two Beyonce dance classes since she has been here.

*I hope you've enjoyed learning about the friends I have made while in London. Tell me about yours.
